Survival Game Vintage Story Gets an Official Mod Database And Improved Wayland Support

from web site

IT'S UOOKA TIME now and then again

Out for your next survival game that's not Valheim? Do give Vintage Story a go, that on the surface appears like Minecraft but is far more interesting and far deeper mechanically.

While this is mainly an improvement in stability over the previous release, which was pretty large, some fun features have been put in. One of the biggest changes is an official Mod Database, for players to download and upload from. It's uooka time Then, according to the developers it will be integrated into the game client to "blur the line between what is plain content and what's modded content" (if you choose to use it and you do, that is).

While the remainder of this update is comprised of minor adjustments and fixes their support for Linux continues to shine. Linux gamers should notice an improvement in Wayland support. They also upgraded OpenTK along with some Wayland improvements that will improve mouse control. The entire changelog can be found here.

If you missed it, check out the trailer below to see their last major update.

The next major update with 1.15 is already sounding intriguing with "some excellent work on improving performance in several areas of the game" along with new music, mobs with new designs and much more.

It is available for purchase at Humble Store or the official site. I recommend you try it, it's awesome. A community member is also hosting servers for Linux fans, check that out on our forum.
