Fans of the sandbox explorer game Minecraft will be able to immerse themselves in its world of vibrant graphics, as Minecraft launches on the Oculus Rift.



Global Xbox and PC users with the headset already playing the game will be able get a free Windows 10 beta update to be able to enter the VR world.



The game is among the first major titles to launch on the highly anticipated Facebook-owned Oculus Rift, which is scheduled for its European launch next month.

Mike McGrath, the AR/VR game's developer, wrote on Xbox Wire: "For new and experienced players, we hope that the VR experience in Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta will illuminate the power, evocative and completely immersive VR can be."
