Minecraft star Stampy Cat to deliver RSE Christmas lecture

YouTube and Minecraft legend Stampy Cat is to deliver an educational program in front of 2,000 students in Dundee.
Stampy the real name of the man was Joseph Garrett, will deliver the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Christmas lecture in Caird Hall on Monday.

His YouTube channel has more than 6.7 million subscribers.
Next Thursday, the lecture will only be available on BBC iPlayer.
BBC Scotland said Minecraft fans would, for the first time, have the opportunity to see Stampy demonstrate how he makes his videos during a meeting with Dundee games entrepreneur Chris van der Kuyl.
Stampy will tell the story of making his Christmas special , and give an insight into his life.
Mr van der Kuyl said Stampy was the "epitome of the 21st Century digital native" who could inspire audiences regardless of their age.
"Stampy is a source of inspiration for a whole new generation young people who clearly see that their future jobs will be based on a unique mix of talent in the arts, creativity, and technical design abilities that can be utilized by anyone," he added.
The RSE lecture will be held as part of BBC Make it Digital, an initiative designed to promote digital creativity among children and teens.
