'Minecraft' Update Takes Multi-platform Online Cross-Platform

After selling an astounding 100 million copies (and counting) the world of Minecraft continues to grow today with new features and functions. The new "Friendly Update" allows Minecraft players on Windows 10, iOS, and Android (including the Gear VR Edition) to play online with each other in the same constant Realms.

This follows the introduction of cross-platform multiplayer on local networks last year. be yourself; everyone else is already taken The new update is out today, but the Minecraft team also revealed two significant enhancements specific to the mobile-friendly "Pocket Edition." The texture packs are available now and let you change the look of the game. Add-ons let you alter the game's world further (e.g. create zombies that shoot fireballs).
