It's the right time to share a truth many MMO players don’t yet know that all DPS players can be considered sharks. You may be wondering why so many DPS seem addicted to the mantra "GOGOGO" because slowed down even a fraction of a second means they will die. They have to keep swimming and killing. This is what MMOs are doing to sharks around the world. There is no need to inquire what a shark does to play the game or type. The rogue who refuses to wait for the tank, healer, or any other DPS will follow his actions. He is a shark.
One of the Massively staff members could be a shark, but I'm not able to confirm or claim it. Perhaps he or she will announce his or her status in this week's WRUP. Or perhaps it's just our usual roundup on our plans for the weekend. You won't find out until you've read the next section. However, you can tell us by commenting below what you're doing.
Minecraft news
@Beau_Hindman: I'm definitely playing more State of Decay. It's a fantastic single-player game and easily one of my most played games. For MMORPGs I'm experimenting with the limits of Minecraft's MMO-ness I'll be playing the latest patch for DC Universe Online, and I'll also be getting some action in Neverwinter, which I think is among the most beautiful and -sounding MMOs currently available.
@nbrianna Should be enjoyable!
@Eliot_Lefebvre: World of Warcraft is currently my game of choice in my side slot, and although there are a lot of aspects which I'm not entirely happy with, I'm enjoying myself. Beyond that, there's bound to be more Final Fantasy XIV questing to play and various endgame events to take part in, so that's my main focus.
@Sypster - I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I'm currently in the countdown mode for Lord of the Rings Online Helm's Deep. I'm likely to try a few additional scenarios from The Secret World, and perhaps even play some of the World of Warcraft stuff the kids are loving these days.
@mvmatt: I've got a weekend plan that includes soup, schoolwork and, if lucky some video games. I'll be playing Warhammer Online, to remind myself of the reasons why it was shut down and to reminisce about the amazing things that nearly made me stay until the servers end next month. Apart from that I'd love to get back into Guild Wars 2 or The Secret World. I've been neglecting these games for a while. Maybe, just maybe, I can stop some fools on Battlefield 4.
@MikedotFoster: This weekend, I'm checking out the Three Spirits Dota 2 Update. I'll also spend some time playing World of Warcraft; that Warlords of Draenor announcement has me riled again.
@MJ_Guthrie: I plan to focus the majority of my gaming time (and I'll be playing no matter what it is!) Trying to get more done in the Secret World's war on Filth. I would like to have the pet and the bee suit so badly that I don't know how to get enough tokens. But I'll try! Did I mention I am stubborn? When I'm not playing I'll be playing a scenario or two, and testing new builds. I will also be spending the weekend trying to figure out which race I will use for my first Channeler in EverQuest II. I've narrowed it down to Ratonga and Kerra. After that, it'll take me just 30 hours to personalize the appearance. The name is only the beginning.
@RichieProcopio This weekend, I'll be intoxicated. I'm not attending a frat party. I'll be going to the Tower of Nightmares in Guild Wars 2 to see what Scarlet and her new serpentine friends have been up to in Kessex Hills. Oh, and Hearthstone!
Every weekend, we get together with Massively staff members to ask them "What are your favorite games?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to both in and out of games -- and be sure to join us in the comments to let us know what you're playing!
