WRUP: All DPS Players are Sharks Edition

from web site

Minecraft java

It's time to share a truth many MMO players don’t yet know: All DPS players can be considered sharks. You may be wondering why so many DPS seem addicted to the mantra "GOGOGO" because slowing down for even a second means they will die. They must continue swimming and killing. This is what MMOs are doing to sharks around the world. It's not necessary to ask how sharks play or type. The rogue who refuses to wait for the healer, tank or any other DPS cannot help but follow his actions. He's a shark.

One of the Massively staff members could be a shark, but I can neither confirm nor confirm or deny it. Perhaps he or she will be revealing his or his status in this week's WRUP. Or maybe it's just our normal roundup of our plans for the weekend. It's not clear until you read further however, you're encouraged to tell us what you're doing in the comments section either way.

@Beau_Hindman I'm definitely going to play more State of Decay. The game is fantastic and is definitely one of my top favorites for single player games of the year. For MMORPGs I'm experimenting with the limits of Minecraft's MMO-ness I'll be playing the latest patch of DC Universe Online, and I'll also be getting some action in Neverwinter I believe it is one of the most stunning and sounding MMOs available right now.

@nbrianna: I returned to World of Warcraft with a bunch of guildies, so I'll be leveling up some old toons as well as exploring some Pandaria dungeons I've never done. It should be fun!

@Eliot_Lefebvre: World of Warcraft is currently playing in my side game slot, and although there are a lot of aspects that I'm not completely happy with, I'm enjoying myself. Beyond that, there's going to be more Final Fantasy XIV questing to do and various endgame shenanigans to take part in, so that'll be my primary goal.

@Sypster I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I'm currently in the countdown mode for Lord of the Rings Online Helm's Deep. I'm likely to play additional scenarios in The Secret World, and perhaps even play some of the World of Warcraft stuff the youngsters are raving about these days.

@mvmatt: My weekend plans include soup, schoolwork and if I'm lucky -- some video games. I'll be playing Warhammer Online, to remind myself why it was abandoned and to reminisce about the amazing things that nearly made me stay until the servers shut down next month. Apart from that I'd love to get some time in with Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World, both of which I've been neglecting for a while. MINECRAFT JAVA Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to cap some fools in Battlefield 4.

@MikedotFoster: This weekend, I'm checking out the Three Spirits Dota 2 Update. I'll also be returning to World of Warcraft, as the Warlords of Draenor announcement has me all excited again.

@MJ_Guthrie: I'm planning to focus the majority of my gaming time (and I'll have some whatever, sickness be darned!) trying to accomplish more in the war on Filth in The Secret World. I would love that pet and the bee suit so badly and even though I don't see any way in the world I can get enough tokens, I am determined to do my best! Did I mention I am stubborn? When I'm not working, I'll be playing couple of scenarios and testing new builds. I will also be spending the weekend deciding which race I will use for my new Channeler in EverQuest II. The race has been narrowed down to Ratonga or Kerra. After that, it will take me about 30 hours to customize the look. The name is only the beginning.

@RichieProcopio: This weekend, I'll be drunk and hallucinating. No I'm not going to an event at a frat house; I'll be paying the tower of dreams an appearance in Guild Wars 2 and see what Scarlet and her new serpentine comrades have been up to in Kessex Hills. Oh and Hearthstone!

Each weekend, we catch up with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as WRUP!) Join us to see our game-related activities. You can also join us in the comments section to discuss your gaming experiences with us.
