Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about an avenue kid - David - trying in order to survive in the technology and body modification-obsessed city of the near future, Night City. Having everything to reduce, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner a mercenary stop also known since a cyberpunk.
Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will lead the series along with assistant representative Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare), creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designers Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand name New Animal) in addition to Yuto Kaneko (Little Witch Academia), as well as the adapted screenplay simply by Yoshiki Usa (SSSS.
