Distinguishing facts from beliefs and opinions

from web site

facts and opinions confusing

Facts, opinions and feelings are all mixed up in the messages we receive from adults, family members, the media, books and newspapers.

They are a concoction of ideas, truths and feelings. Truth is not always simple to establish when determining what are facts, opinions and feelings. It is not always simple. Arguments about this ambiguity are common and can bring your writing to a halt.
In any speech, establishing facts should begin before anyone offers their beliefs, opinions, or feelings. The overlap of the three groups is a source of conflict and misunderstanding. Some people become so confused that they are unable to distinguish between reality and their beliefs.

What you need to know about them.

Facts are things that are real, verified and true. It is an act, an event.

For example: On this day, December 24, it's really cold, windy and raining hard. The temperature is now ten degrees.

A judgment or opinion about a matter, someone, something or a set of circumstances is an opinion.
It is also a conviction and a belief. There can be as many different points of view on the same subject.
There are people here, so! Other people can have an impact on our thoughts, and we often absorb ideas without even realizing it. We adopt the views of those we have been around (family, friends, reading material). We may form our opinions based on our own beliefs and ideas.

For example: I think it is cooler now than yesterday.

The verb "to feel" is the origin of the term "feeling". It is a more or less distinct understanding.
It is an instantaneous knowledge, more or less obvious, that is communicated in a way that is linked to our emotions. Our deepest thoughts and emotions are expressed externally as feelings. Love, hate, friendship, joy and despair are the most typical emotions.

For example: Winter depresses me.
