Technoblade: Minecraft YouTuber dies from cancer at the age of 23

Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade has died aged 23, his family have confirmed this in a touching goodbye video that was posted on his behalf.
The video, titled "solong geeks", was posted to his 10 million followers and showed his father calling him "the best kid anyone could ever wish for".
The US internet personality became famous for livestreaming and posting clips of him playing the sandbox videogame.
Technoblade announced to his fans last year that he was diagnosed with cancer.
His father read his farewell message a few hours before his passing. It began with "Hello everyone, Technoblade here." This is what you should be seeing. I am dead."
He then admitted that his real name was Alex. He also recalled the moment he tricked viewers into believing his name to be Dave.
"Thank you all for your support of my content over the years," he continued. "If I had another hundred years, I'm sure Technoblade would be my top choice again. Those were the best years of my life."
The online star who took home Minecraft tournaments, and had thousands of fans talking about him in a funny way while playing the game, revealed in a February video for fundraising that he received chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and a limb rescue operation following the development of a painful tumor.
Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer was the cause of his death.
He revealed his diagnosis of cancer in August 2021, explaining that he initially thought the pain he was experiencing was due to an injury from repetitive stress due to playing too much. After his arm started swelling, he went to hospital and was subsequently diagnosed with cancer.
Technoblade's true identity is unknown. But his online avatar was a picture of the crown-crowned pig.
His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio says: "I play too many video games. Although I'm not the best, I have hot elbows..
'Strategizing in heaven'
Fans, fellow gamers, and YouTubers paid tribute to him online after the news of his death.
J Schlatt recalled, "I'll never forget that day I met Technoblade." "I went to work early in order to play in a Minecraft tournament with Technoblade. I was unsure of how to play... but the dude managed to guide us through the whole event.
"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll be a legend for the rest of your life.
YouTuber Captain Puffy, aka Cara, tweeted: "Rest In Peace Technoblade. He always treated me with pure kindness. I was never excluded from anything." He couldn't have been a kinder person!"
She added: "Thank you for everything you've done for this community. It will never be the same without you."
Tommy Innit stated that "Technoblade" is a legend. I can't express how thankful I am to have been a part of his life from being a huge fan to one of his closest friends. I know he is working in heaven to overcome God ...".
"I've been watching Technoblade's films for the past half hour," added Ludwig Ahgren. "He was so clever, so humble even in the most difficult of times. I'll never forget him."
Quackity also expressed his appreciation online, writing: "I had to have the opportunity to share my admiration for Technoblade not just for his immense impact on us all but also for his incredible humour, even in the darkest of times." I will miss him so very deeply."
Jake Lucky, an eSports player, added "May you rest and be at peace."
Technoblade's father thanked his fans in the goodbye clip, noting that "you meant a lot"
He explained that a portion of proceeds from online orders for his late son's merchandise will now be donated to charities.
The video ended with a letter from his family. It said: "We, Technoblade, wanted you to know how the much he was loved and respected by his colleagues and fans."
Technoblade was online since his earliest days. He was always trying to find ways to delight and reward his followers. He gave prizes away online, encouraged good sportsmanship, and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughs and entertainment.
"Even after his triumphs He managed to maintain his good-natured modesty and played with a delightful balance of self-deprecating confidence and confidence."
