Article content Plague Inc. A game played online about spreading and creating contagious pathogens around the world, has seen an increase in players since the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
Article content Ndemic Creations, the company that created the game, reported Friday on Twitter that its website and servers for multiplayer games were experiencing issues due to large numbers of players.

Article content The company also issued a statement on Thursday about the coronavirus, calling it "deeply troubling".
"Whenever there is an outbreak of illness there is an increase in the number of players as people seek to find out more about the spread of diseases and learn more about the complexities of viral outbreaks," the statement said.

According to China the coronavirus killed 81 and has infected more than 2700.
The company warned players not to trust the game's accuracy as it depicts how the coronavirus spreads and instead provided an online link to World Health Organization.
"However keep in mind that Plague Inc. is an actual game, not a scientific model and that the current coronavirus outbreak is an extremely real-life situation that is affecting millions of people," the statement said. "We would always suggest that players obtain their information directly from local and international health authorities.

The game lets the player to create and name a fictional bacterium or virus, or any other pathogen and then try to spread it throughout the world. As the game advances, the player is able to decide how their virus will spread and what symptoms the virus causes. The game was launched in 2012 and quickly became the 15th most popular paid iPhone game that year.
A lot of the players have a difficult time to allow their virus to spread to Greenland and Madagascar. Some joked on social media that the coronavirus wouldn't affect these two countries.
I play a lot of Plague Inc. on my phone.
So I am pretty sure that the Corona virus can cause organ failure within a few days.
Only Madagascar is safe. Perhaps Greenland.
