Minecraft's Big Wilderness Update Arrives June 7th

Alusky's blog Minecraft GAMES ONLINE SERVERS gaming

It took several months, but Minecraft's The Wild Update is nearly there. Mojang and Microsoft are releasing The Wild across all platforms on June 7 and it's as expansive as promised. Two biomes are now available in The Wild game including a mangrove swamp as well as a "deep darkness" that hides vicious mobs like Warden and Shrieker and other special resources. You can also use on a vessel with a chest, meaning you won't have to take your items with you in case you're traveling across a lake.

The upgrade also includes an mud block (made using water and dirt naturally), a crowd-voted item collector mob (the allay) and a frog that grows from tadpoles. It even produces "froglights" when it is attacked by magma.

The launch comes after Mojang had to rethink its expansion strategy. Minecraft The original plan was for the deep dark biome to be launched in 2021. However the biome was renamed The Wild after the developer was unable to handle the size and complexity of its two-part Caves and Cliffs Update. It's not unexpected that Minecraft is determined to keep its game in play for more than a decade, however the schedule suggests that it might have been a bit too eager to please.
