Youngblood spent the first half of 2022 working on two substantial documentaries for European networks, each with its own unique difficulties. He had to offer over 30 various sites and activities, crew recommendations, and transportation choices for the three-week filming of the BBC and Studio Ramsay coproduction Trailblazers. There were a lot of moving parts with a 40-person crew. The shooting schedule was tight, and every day the crew had to relocate to a different site. It was a project of enormous proportions, stretching from a dusty pub in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to the top of Pikes Peak. Beginning in January, work on the documentary series progressed until the April shooting date was reached.
