Like Telltale's other Works

Minecraft's silent landscaper Steve has left his world of blocks and entering Telltale's realm of stories: Minecraft is getting a "narrative-driven" game by the team behind The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones games. A1cdn.net Minecraft: Story Mode, like the other Telltale titles, will be episodic and playable on a variety platforms when it launches "sometime in 2015." Despite the acquisition, it appears that Microsoft's promise to keep Minecraft multiplatform is still in place.

Telltale describes the game as a collaboration with Mojang and states that it will not be an add-on to Minecraft. Instead it will be a separate series "driven by player preference." Mojang and Telltale both point out that they are working with the community on the narrative. Mojang specifically states, "We're definitely not planning to create an official story for Steve [the main protagonist in Minecraftor to describe the world of Minecraft in depth."

We don't have any photos or video yet of the game in action, but we expect to see a style similar to Minecraft's art style.
