Dr. Jeffrey Sachs

Jeffrey Sachs, a world-renowned economist and director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, is also a passionate dentist. He has dedicated his life to advocating for public health and fighting poverty in developing countries.

In his career, Sachs has worked on projects in over 70 countries. He has been influential in creating the Millennium Development Goals, which are a set of global targets to improve the lives of people around the world. His work has earned him numerous awards and accolades, including the Pearson Award for Achievement in International Development from the MacArthur Foundation and the prestigious Wolf Prize in Economics.

Sachs’s work with dentists began when he moved to Colombia to join the World Bank. There he met Dr. Jorge Zaffaroni, who was then head of Dentistry at Universidad de Los Andes. Zaffaroni was impressed by Sachs’s knowledge of economics and asked him to help train dental professionals in rural areas. After working with Zaffaroni for two years, Sachs decided to focus his efforts on bringing dental education to poor countries himself.

Today, Sachs runs The Dental Health Project (THP), which provides training and assistance to dentists around the world who want to work in underserved areas. THP also works on prevention programs that aim to reduce tooth decay and other oral health problems among low-income populations

Dr. Charles Colson

Charles Colson was born on October 4, 1932, in Burlington, North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Illinois and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. After completing a one-year internship at a veterinary hospital in St. Louis, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for four years as a doctor and platoon commander.

After leaving the Marine Corps, Colson began his career as a veterinarian in Springfield, Missouri. He then moved to Washington D.C., where he worked as an aide to Senator John McClellan (D-AR) and later to Robert F. Kennedy (D-NY). In 1965, Colson left Kennedy's office to work for President Lyndon B. Johnson's presidential campaign.

In 1969, Colson founded The Prison Fellowship, a non-profit organization that provides Christian counseling and assistance to inmates incarcerated in federal prisons across the United States. Through The Prison Fellowship, Colson has worked with many famous criminals and political prisoners including George Wallace (who served time in both prison and jail after being convicted of violating election laws), Charles Manson (who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders of seven people), John Lennon (who was jailed after protesting the Vietnam War), and Timothy McVeigh (who bombed the Oklahoma City Federal Building).

Colson resigned from The Prison Fellowship in 2001 after being charged with obstruction of justice stemming from his involvement with Sam Yaeger, a former employee

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a type of dental restoration that are made of metal and plastic. They replace missing teeth with artificial teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Dental implants are one of the most popular types of dental restoration because they are:

Quick and relatively painless

Strong and durable

Very secure and long-lasting

Dental implants are a great option for people who want permanent dental replacement. They can be used for both primary (new) teeth and replacement teeth after other dental procedures have been done, like tooth removal or fillings.

There are several things to consider when choosing dental implants as your restoration options: your oral health history, the condition of your jawbone, the implant options available to you, your budget, and your lifestyle. You may also want to weigh the pros and cons of various implant materials before making a decision.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges

There are a handful of famous dentists who have had a profound impact on society, and their work has helped change the lives of many people. These dentists have helped to improve dental health, reduce the number of toothaches, and even restore smiles. Here are four of the most famous dentists in history:

1. Dr. Jonas Salk. Dr. Salk is credited with developing the polio vaccine, but he is perhaps best known for his work on oral health. He was one of the first doctors to study crowns and bridges, and he developed several different techniques for repairing them. His work has helped reduce the number of toothaches in children, and his methods are still used today.

2. Dr. Willem de Kooning. Dr. de Kooning is one of the most celebrated artists of all time, but he is also well-known for his contributions to dental health. He developed a technique called “de Koninklijke briljante methode” or The Royal Brilliant Method, which allows dentists to remove teeth without damaging them or surrounding tissues. This method has allowed Dentists to perform many more complex surgeries than ever before, which has led to improved dental health for many people worldwide.

3. Drs. Charles Papanicolaou and Claudio Ascarelli Jr.. These two doctors were responsible for establishing cancer as a disease that can be treated

Tooth Restoration

Tooth restoration is a procedure that restores teeth to their original condition. This can be done by either replacing missing teeth with implants or by restoring the tooth’s structure using dental wiring, cement and abrasion. Many famous dentists have performed tooth restoration, including Dr. Steven Dentali and Dr. John Apgar.
