Accepting Credit Cards for Online Transactions Over $1000

When you want to run an online store, picking a payment solution is one of the first things you need to do. You will inevitably need to look into Square, PayPal, and Stripe, as well as a few others. One of the reasons for this is that, although you might get away with accepting only debit cards thanks to the “decent” rates that most bank cards offer, accepting credit cards means you will eventually have to deal with “chargebacks”. A “chargeback” is when a customer disputes a charge on their credit card due to, well, you not having enough money in your account to cover their charge. This can be both costly and time-consuming, especially if you “reversed” the charge (ie, paid it) and then had to pay it back again. Some banks and credit cards frown upon, and even prohibit, accepting credit cards for online transactions over $1000.

It is, therefore, best to look into alternatives for accepting payments online. One of the cheapest and most reliable methods is via Square. In this blog post, we'll tell you everything you need to know about the “cheapest  cheapest smm panel  panel for startups.”

What Is Square?

Square is, essentially, a credit card processor that specializes in small business. Think of all the different fees and charges that come with using credit cards (most notably, the annual fee that you have to pay to your credit card company) and you will quickly see that accepting payments this way is a cheaper option. Additionally, Square has a number of different “business cards” that you can choose from, depending on how you want your online store to look. Square is, essentially, designed for startups and small businesses that want to accept payments online.

Why Do I Need A Square Business Card?

We already mentioned that accepting credit cards online can be a costly and time-consuming process, especially if you are a small business. One of the reasons for this is that, when a customer makes a purchase on your website, there is a chance that they will issue a credit card authorization. In this case, you will have to collect the “authorization code” from the customer's card, verify their information, and process the payment. This can all take a lot of time, especially if you are doing this manually. One way of avoiding this process is by using Square. With a Square business card, you can connect their credit card to your “merchant account” and, once that is activated, all credit card authorizations will be routed to your account automatically. This makes it much simpler to accept credit cards without having to deal with the hassle of collecting authorizations manually.

Additionally, with a Square business card, you don't have to worry about PCI compliance, “payment gateway fees”, or “processing fees”. These are fees that you have to pay your credit card processor to accept credit cards, and they can really add up. However, if you are accepting credit cards, there is no escaping “transaction fees” that your credit card processor charges for each card.

How Do I Use Square?

To use Square, you will first need to download their app from the iOS or Android store. Once this is done, you can set up a “free Square account” by entering your email address and creating a password. You will then be “flagged” as a business that accepts “virtual cards”, and you can choose which one you would like to use for your website. In our case, we chose Square Cash because it is a fully-functioning “business card” that can be used globally for purchases, and it doesn't require a “merchant account” to be set up.

If you have a Stripe account, you can link it to your Square account and all payments will be handled by Square. If you don't have a Stripe account, you can set one up in just a few seconds and start accepting payments. Stripe's “business card” requires you to have a “Merchant Account”, which is the same as what Square requires. However, Stripe has a “no fees” policy for merchants, which is beneficial for online shops that want to accept payments via Stripe. You can read more about our experience with Stripe here.

How Much Does It Cost To Use Square?

Now, the “price of Square is not completely free, but it is one of the cheapest alternatives for merchant accounts that we know of. You will need to create a free Square account and activate it via email before you can use it. To do this, visit this link and enter your email address and password, then click on the “For merchants” link. You will be redirected to the Square home page where you can set up your free “merchant account”. After creating a free Square account, you will need to verify your information via email before you can make any purchase. Once this is done, you can “connect your account to a credit card” (you can either link a PayPal account or a Visa or MasterCard). For the link to the credit card provider's page, enter the “account number” and “expiration date” of the card you will be using. To make a purchase, simply enter the “item description”, “item name”, and “payment method” and, if using a credit card, enter the “authorization code”.

Once this is done, you can add a “buy now button” to your website and, when a customer clicks on it, they will be taken to a “payments page” where they can enter their payment information. When the “transaction is completed”, you will receive an email confirmation from Square.
