Robo-Cat 3D Game Review

from web site

냥코대전쟁 버그판

There is a new game that came out recently, called The 냥코대전쟁 버그판 . It's an online flash game where you play as a kitty, and the object is to beat up on your opponent.

Your opponent is a robot named Robo-Cat, and you are trying to knock him down with swipes of your paw. You can do this by hitting him with your claws, or with your paw if you're a girl (I'm assuming here that you're a cat). Anyway, it's an interesting game that can be quite challenging, especially since it is a 3D game, which means that your movements are constrained by the 2D screen (well, not really, but the camera does zoom in on the screen, so you really feel like you're walking around in 3D). The graphics are fun but simple, with a lot of color, which makes it perfect for mobile play. There are also a lot of power-ups and bonuses to help you along the way. You can also get various cats to help you out, like Mr. Meowser, who throws fireballs, or the speedy Frenchie.

You can download the game for free from the App Store. It's a great game to play while commuting, or even when you're bored at home. Give it a try!

What's New in Version 2.0

Version 2.0 of The Battle Cats is quite significant. For starters, it adds a multiplayer mode. Now you can play with up to 4 players over WiFi. It also has quite a few bug fixes, like the inability to leave some rooms without paying, or the inability to move while running away from a battle (this one is quite frustrating).

How To Play The Battle Cats

The Battle Cats is actually quite easy to play. All you have to do is swipe the screen to move around, and try to hit the bots with your paws. If you want to play single-player, just follow the story line. It's pretty self-explanatory. There are just a few tips and tricks that I'd like to share with you. Some of these tips are important, and some of them are completely optional. So be sure to check out the tips that apply to you, and ignore the rest.

Use Your Paws

One of the best things about The Battle Cats is that it's really easy to play and accessible to all ages. If you're a fan of anime, you'll particularly enjoy playing this game since it's quite reminiscent of the battles between cats and rabbits in Tokyo Mew Mew. So it goes without saying that you should try to use your paws as much as possible in this game. Make quick work of your opponent by swiping upward on the screen, or by hitting him with a well-placed paw. You can do a lot of damage with just a few swipes, and with enough practice, you'll be hitting the buttons at the right time, and with the right speed, to avoid getting hit by Robo-Cat's attacks. Remember to dodge his punches by jumping or dashing to the side. When you get close to the robot, he'll begin firing energy balls at you, so be sure to stay out of reach, or else he'll zap you. Try not to stand still in one place when playing this game, or else the robot will begin moving towards you, and you'll have a lot of trouble hitting him. Plus, it'll be a lot easier for him to hit you if he doesn't have to stop and turn around to aim his shots. So stay mobile!

Don't Forget Your Fangs

If you're a girl, you'll have the option of choosing between slashing or punching as your fighting style. Personally, I prefer to curl my claws and scratch the screen with delight, but that's just me. You don't always have to use your claws to damage your opponent. Sometimes all it takes is a quick jab to the body to send him reeling. When a malevolent robot attacks you, his preferred strategy is to grapple with you and pin you to the ground. To avoid getting hurt, it's best to play along until he releases you. At that point, continue attacking him with the same maneuver until he runs out of energy or gets injured. This is a good strategy for when you're playing against another cat, but against a robot, play to your advantage by avoiding pinning. If you're playing on the PC, you can also use the space bar to quickly jump to the left or right, so that you can avoid getting hit. This is quite useful when playing against more than one Robo-Cat, as the distance between you and the CPU allows for more precise attacks as compared to mobile play. The Battle Cats is all about strategy, and a little bit of luck. So keep your claws sheathed while punching, and make sure to keep them out whenever you have a chance to slash.

Build Up Your Attack Strategy

Every cat has a different strategy when playing The Battle Cats. Some like to jump on the offensive right away and swipe at the screen with their claws, while others prefer to play defensively, letting the CPU do all the punching and the moving around. If you find that you're not making much progress by just attacking randomly, then it's time to think about what strategy you should use in that given situation. For example, if you're playing against a single robot, and you're not making much headway using just your paws, then it might be a good idea to start biting. A quick jab to the shoulder is all it takes to put the sharp metal in your opponent's flesh, and with multiple attacks, it's quite possible to render him immobile. But if you're playing on the PC, then it's best to stay away from biting, especially since it is quite easy for the robot to see your fangs through your mask. Biting is quite useful against the smaller and more vulnerable robots though, so if you're playing with an elderly cat or a kitten, then go ahead and sink those teeth. Just make sure to wear your gloves when doing so, as their skin is quite tender. You can also damage their mechanical parts if you're feeling particularly aggressive that day.

Use Your Smartphone's Camera

You can also use your smartphone's camera to help you play. By holding it in front of you, wherever you are, you'll be able to see the screen and your opponent on the same device. It's quite an innovative touch, and I think it adds a lot to the game. If you're playing on the go, then you can't use the keyboard and mouse, but you can use your phone's touch-screen, or even its speaker if you have one.

Use The Helping Hands Bonus

Certain rooms in the house of Horrors require you to pull a lever to receive your bonus. The Helping Hands bonus is an important one, as it unlocks special items and offers additional gameplay. You'll also find a mushroom there which speeds up your energy levels. You can help other cats by giving them the benefit of your bonus, as long as they've helped you too. For instance, if playing as a female cat, you can choose to give your energy ball or speed boost to a secondary character, which will then be available for use in battle. It's a simple yet effective method of keeping your team alive. Plus, it can become quite competitive. You can also choose to give your enemy the Helping Hands bonus if they're in a room that requires it, but it's quite unlikely that you'll encounter more than one robot at a time in the same room, so this feature isn't as useful as you might think.

Look For The Hidden Rooms

Every now and then, you'll come across a room that isn't accessible through the map. These are known as hidden rooms, and it's important to remember that they exist. Sometimes it's simply a matter of finding the right set of curtains to block off the room, or a floorboard to boot. Other times, it takes a little bit of looking. You can also use your phone's GPS to find these locations, which I find to be quite useful. Even if you don't have a GPS, there are online resources which can help you pinpoint these areas.

Avoid Playing On The Roof

Certain rooms are situated on top of the roof, and it's possible to make a swift trip to the ground if you leap off the right edge of the building. If you want to avoid falling off, then it's best to stay off the roof. It's also quite easy to fall off the left side, which can hurt quite a bit, so be careful if you're playing there. The best option is to stay on the ground or the first floor. Even if you do land on the roof, there is also the option to recover from there. Just make sure not to do this if there's an area that you know is off-limits, or if you want to retain any of your health.
