Jeju Sun Casino suspends business for one month

According to data submitted to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Bloomberry's Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino has been ordered to suspend game operations at its Korean operations for a month starting Nov. 16.
The Bloomberry Resort document said, "Jeju Sun received an administrative disposition of a one-month suspension of gaming operations from the Jeju-do gaming regulator as a penalty for the actions of existing casino management."
According to the submission, the suspension was the result of regulators' investigation of the casino's game tax payment practices, previously known as The Las Vegas Casino, in violation of the casino's old management and owners.
Accommodation, including the hotel, will not be affected by the outage, and Bloomberry plans to use this time to complete the ongoing renovation of the Irish resort. Bloomberry owns more than 96% of the stake in May, reopened in September under the name Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino, and is the first business for a Filipino operator to enter the international casino market.
In addition to hotels and casinos on Jeju Island, Blueberry is seeking casino licenses near Incheon Free Economic Zone and Seoul, which are close to major international airports in Korea, and is also looking at Argentina to expand its overseas business.
The casino will reopen on December 16 in time for the peak winter holiday season.
