Bucheon recruits three-time National Sports Festival medalist central defender Jeon In-gyu

Bucheon FC 1995 completed its defense reinforcement by recruiting central defender Jeon In-gyu. As a result, Jeon In-gyu will wear the Bucheon uniform until 2025.

Jeon In-gyu graduated from Samil Technical High School and Nambu University and joined the Mokpo City Hall soccer team in 2016. Afterwards, he played an active role as a starter, appearing in 75 games and recording 1 assist until 2019. In particular, when he was a member of the Dangjin Citizens' Football Team in 2023, he was the core and captain of the team's defense and led the team to the gold medal at the National Sports Festival.

Jeon In-gyu is a late-comer who entered the professional stage at a late age. However, he is a player whose competitiveness has been proven, as he won medals three times (1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze) at the National Sports Festival during his K3 days. As a central defender, he boasts stable defense and leading ability as his strengths, and has shown outstanding performance, including being selected as one of the K3 Best 11 when he was affiliated with FC Mokpo in 2021.

Coach Lee Young-min said about this recruitment, "Jeon In-gyu is a player with a lot of league experience in K3, and has excellent defensive ability and build-up. He is especially good at leading players, so he will help a lot if he matches well with the young players on our team this season. “I think this will happen,” he said.

Jeon In-gyu, who joined Bucheon, said, “I am grateful to coach Lee Young-min and Bucheon FC club officials for giving me the opportunity to reach the professional stage of my dreams. “As he joined late, he will adapt quickly and become a dedicated and helpful player to the team,” he said, expressing his feelings about entering the professional stage. He then delivered a message to the fans, saying, “I will do my best at every moment to become a player who brings joy and emotion to Bucheon FC Hermes fans.”

Meanwhile, Jeon In-gyu joined Chiang Mai, Thailand on the 12th and is participating in the first winter training.
