Hwang Hee-chan returns... Will there be hope for the match against Jordan?

Attention is focused on whether Hwang Hee-chan (28, Wolverhampton), who missed the first Asian Cup match due to injury, will play in the second group match against Jordan. This is because Son Heung-min (Tottenham) and Cho Gyu-seong (Midtjylland) suffered significant setbacks in their offensive ability due to the yellow cards they received in the game against Bahrain. In order to 'advance early to the round of 16' and 'top the group', the appointment of Hwang Hee-chan, who also played an active role as a frontline striker in his team, may be the hope for the match against Jordan.

The Korean national soccer team, led by coach Jurgen Klinsmann, will play against Jordan in the second match of Group E of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Qatar Asian Cup at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar, at 8:30 pm (Korean time) on the 20th. A win in this game will not only confirm advancement to the round of 16 but also increase the possibility of first place in the group.

Klinsmann took the first step towards winning the Asian Cup for the first time in 64 years by winning 3-1 against Bahrain, the first match of the group stage, on the 15th. However, we encountered an unexpected variable. The aftermath grew immediately from the second game as not only defensive players such as Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), Lee Ki-je (Suwon Samsung), and Park Yong-woo (Al Ain), but also Son Heung-min and Cho Kyu-sung's offensive line received yellow cards.

First of all, the positive thing is Hwang Hee-chan joining the team training. The national team took a day's rest after the game against Bahrain and resumed training at Al Egla Training Center in Doha on the afternoon of the 17th. Hwang Hee-chan participated in training with a bright expression and seemed to have recovered from his injury. He complained of discomfort in his left hip muscle during field training in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting on the 3rd, and entered Doha on the 10th to engage in rehabilitation and recovery training. As for the match against Jordan, he focused on building his body for 10 days, so it doesn't seem like there will be any difficulty in playing the match.
