Suwon will play the first round of Hana Bank K League 2 2024 against Asan in Chungnam at Suwon World Cup Stadium at 2 p.m. on the 3rd.

Suwon operated the team as acting coach Yeom Ki-hoon at the end of last season, but was relegated to the second division because it was at the bottom.  토토사이트 추천

Suwon, which aims to be promoted to the first division, showed faith in Yeom Ki-hoon and appointed him as its official head coach. The match is Suwon's first second division match and the first match led by Yeom Ki-hoon.

Yeom Ki-hoon was full of confidence. Before the game, he said, "The last practice match and yesterday's training session went as well as I thought. I have high expectations. I hope that the results will come out as well."

Coach Yeom Ki-hoon, who said in the opening media day that he would aim for the championship and direct promotion with "first hitting soccer," said, "In order to win, we have to attack, not defense. It's because we have to bully the opponent and score a goal first to have our game rhythm and tempo," adding, "My mind to play first hitting soccer today is valid."

When asked about the outcome of the match, Yeom said, "When I asked (former) Jin-woo, he said the winner is 5-0. The players are so confident. I have never thought of losing. I want to get off to a good start in front of my home fans by bringing all the contents and results, even if it is not that high."

Suwon fans are paying keen attention despite the team's relegation to the second division, with 13,000 tickets reserved for the game. The number of spectators for Suwon's home opening match (February 25, 2023, against Gwangju FC) last season, which was in the first division, has already exceeded 13,348.

"I feel grateful and sorry for the fans. I will work hard and turn the fans' worries into expectations," Yeom said.

Meanwhile, manager Kim Hyun-seok, who leads Suwon's opponent Asan in South Chungcheong Province, is also making his head coach debut.

"Suwon has been demoted, but even if the father and son fail, it will last for three years. Suwon is still a stronger team than us. Not many of our players have played at World Cup stadiums. We will play hard as if we are learning every step of the way," coach Kim Hyun-seok said.

"It's unfortunate that the four main players were missing, but the other players trained and prepared well," coach Kim Hyun-seok said. "The ball is round, so I will do my best until the end."
