The details of the Masters that the players are talking about

from web site

In the world of golf, April is the month of the Masters. Many golfers consider the Masters, the first major tournament of the PGA Tour season, held every second week of April, as the stage of their dreams. Golf fans eagerly await the opening of the tournament, calling it "Masters' Week" or "Christmas in April."

Since its inception in 1934, the Masters has only been held every year at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. The fairway has no divot mark like a carpet, and is full of flowers including azaleas, azaleas, and magnolias in full bloom. Unique traditions and history such as the par-3 contest, green jacket, and white jumpsuit worn by caddies are also reasons why the event is so loved. However, the biggest reason that not only players but also golf fans fell in love with the Masters is due to the detailed management of the course at Augusta National Golf Club where the event takes place.

U.S. media outlet Golf Week recently analyzed that Augusta National Golf Club's greatness comes from its interest in details. The conclusion was reached through interviews with major PGA Tour players prior to the opening of the Masters on May 11.

Jason Day of Australia, the winner of the PGA Championship and world No. 1, called Augusta an "incredible place." "No one would pay attention to streetlights on the course," he said. "I was passing by the course when a man took out the glass of a street lamp, wiped it clean on both sides, and put it back in. Everything from cleaning streetlights on the course is perfect," Augusta National said. "If you visit the course next time, make sure to check streetlights."

"Golf legend" Gary Player of South Africa, who has won nine titles in major golf, praised his special management of the course. "You'll never find weeds in Augusta National. I'm sure the green keeper will be fired if someone finds weeds," he said. Billy Horschel of seven PGA Tour wins said, "Many divots on the course will disappear if you go out the next day," while Colin Morikawa of the U.S., who has won six PGA Tour wins, explained, "Something changes a little bit every year. Sometimes you don't notice what it is, but that's why it's even cooler."

Details can also be found in the locker room outside of the Augusta National course. Last year's The Open winner Brian Harmon loved it, saying, "I have delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts in my personal locker," while Harris English of the U.S. said, "The locker room manager will remember the names of the customers who visit the golf course. They acted like they knew me and everyone well."
