Choo Shin-soo, 41, the oldest active player in Korean professional baseball, has been away for more than a month.

"Choo Shin-soo underwent a thorough examination today and was found to have damaged the rotator cuff on his right shoulder," the SSG said. "He needs rehabilitation for about four weeks. We will have a re-examination four weeks later and then review his return schedule."

Choo Shin-soo was out of the first-team entry on the 7th due to shoulder pain.

Choo, who returned on April 11 after being hit in the finger by an opposing pitcher's ball in the opening game against the Lotte Giants on March 23, was out of the lineup again in less than a month.

He was recovering his batting sense with five hits in 14 at-bats (batting average of 0.357) last week, which is more regrettable.

Choo's performance this season is 0.228 (13 hits in 57 times at bat) in 20 games, one home run, and eight RBIs.
