Korean players promised to win the match against Thailand before departing. As many players played in Korea last season, they showed their will to win this time. Not only the trio of Hyundai E&C Lee Da-hyun, Kim Da-in, and Jung Ji-yoon, but also Pepper Savings Bank Park Jung-ah and Korea Expressway Corporation Kang So-hwi calmly prepared for the victory against Thailand. The players kept their promises by concentrating. It was a valuable victory, an end to the long wait and a new turning point.

Korea's ace Kang So-hwi scored the most points in the game, with Park Jung-ah scoring 16 points and Jeong Ji-yoon scoring 16 points. Lee Ju-ah followed with 11 points and Lee Da-hyun with 8 points. They solved the game with a 59-55 advantage in attack points and a 12-8 advantage in blocking.

Thailand had 17 points for Chatchuan, 15 points for Wipawi, and 11 points for Hottaya, but failed to win the tournament for the first time because they could not play their own fast volleyball in the absence of Ponpun Setter.

Korea started with 1 Lee Ju-ah (MB), 2 Kim Da-in (S), 3 Jung Ji-yoon (OH), 4 Lee Da-hyun (MB), 5 Park Jung-ah (OP), 6 Kang So-hwi (OH), and Libero Han Da-hye.

Thailand was followed by 1. Natanitsa (S), 2. Tea Chouon (OH), 3. Tomdao (MB), 4. Tanatsa (OP), 5. Weepawi (OH), 6. Hottaya (MB), and Libero Pianut first.

Jung Ji-yoon's hard hit to the left at the start of the first set gave Korea the go-ahead run. Thailand responded with a poke in the empty space from Chachuon. Thailand countered with Wipawi's hard hit to the left as Korea continued to take a 3-1 lead with Lee Da-hyun's central score following Park Jung-ah's witty attack.

Korea showed outstanding initial concentration. Kang's two hits to the left gave her a 5-3 lead. Lee Ju-ah blocked Wipawi's attack, signaling a 6-3 lead.

As Thailand chased down with scores from Hottaya and Chat Chon, Korea continued its 9-6 lead with Lee Da-hyun's quick attack. It was Korea's pace in the beginning.

Thailand retook the chase with a paint score that followed a quick attack by Chachuon. South Korea ran away with an additional point with Park Jung-ah's back attack. Adding to the opponent's offense errors, South Korea maintained its advantage at 11-8.

The long rally that followed was regrettable. While being defended, players stared at the second touch. Since then, a one-point battle has been fought with Chat Chon from Thailand and a witty score from Wipawi.

After the defense, Korea led 13-11 with Jung Ji-yoon's touch-out score, followed by Lee Ju-ah's blocking score, leading 15-12.

When Kang gained strength with a hard hit to the left, Jung blocked Tanacha's attack to make it 18-15. Lee Da-hyun's offensive score could have been brought to the referee's challenge. Leading 19-16, Korea continued its three-point gap of 20-17, with Kang's offensive score coming as a challenge.

Frustrated, Thailand was left with a connection error. Momentum South Korea raced to 23-17 with Park Jung-ah's two touchout runs, and Jung Ji-yoon's back-to-back slam won the set. The score was 25-19.

2nd set. Thailand put danfon, whose main position is setter, in the spot of apogit spiker. He changed the atmosphere by strengthening defense and connection.

It worked. In a close game, Korea's Jung Ji-yoon made an attack mistake and took the lead, 4-2, thanks to a whiplash by Wipawi. Wipawi even managed to secure the lead, 6-4, by making time difference in offense.

Korea followed suit. Park Jung-ah scored and Lee Da-hyun scored a blocking goal to tie the match at 6-6. Korea, which had a 10-8 lead due to consecutive errors by its opponent, Danson, led 12-10 with a left-handed hit following Kang's paint score.
However, there was regret, too. He continued to make mistakes in serve, and he failed to run away. Thailand also made mistakes in serve. Amid a chaotic situation in the court, Korea was ahead 15-12 due to Kang's hitting by Jung Ji-yoon after a dig.

From then on, however, the mood turned around in Thailand. Wipawi and Sasipapon scored back-to-back runs to chase down the rival team's score of 14-15, and Danfon blocked Jung's attack to tie the match at 15-15. The ensuing long rally was a foul on Park's back-to-back attacker. Korea allowed four consecutive runs, allowing the team to come from behind to reverse the game at 15-16.

Thailand took a two-point lead thanks to Sasipapon's hard hit to the left. Korea tried to make up for it with Lee Da-hyun's fastball in the center, but lost the flow 15-18 when he was out. Dhanpon's right-handed score made it 19-15, and Wipawi's back-to-back hit made it 20-15. It was eight consecutive points.

Korea chased after him. After escaping 15 points due to an opponent's mistake, Jung blocked Danson's right attack. Kim Da-in's sharp serve score and Park Jung-ah's right hit instantly made the score 19-20.

Thailand extended its lead to 22-19 again with Sasipapon's left-handed slugging and Hottaya's blocking score. Hottaya added a central score and touched 24-20 set points.

Korea started its final chase. Park Jung-ah scored an offensive point and blocked point, and Kang So-hwi hit to the left, making it 23-24. However, the set was Thailand's. Sasipapon's attack on the right ended with a score. The electronic display panel pointed to 23-25.

The third set, which became a watershed moment for the game. Korea took a 4-1 lead in the beginning. The opponent's offense mistakes and the hitting of Jung Ji-yul were combined. Korea led 6-3 with Jung Ji-yoon's blocking score and serve score.

As Thailand chased down hottaya and Sasipapon with back-to-back runs, South Korea took an 8-5 lead with Kang So-hwi hitting to the left and Park Jung-ah's witty score.
