Korean-born Rob Refsnyder (Kim Jung-tae, Boston Red Sox) has hinted at retirement.

According to the Boston Globe on the 19th (Korea Standard Time), Refsnyder, who will turn 34 in March next year, is considering retirement after the 2024 season.

Refsnyder said he was "undetermined" about his return to the MLB season for his 10th time and had been thinking about retiring before joining the Red Sox during the 2021-22 offseason.

"At the end of the season, I'm going to step up from there and decide what I'm going to do ... I want to spend more time with my family," Refsnyder also said.토토사이트

Under the terms of a contract extension signed by Refsnyder in June 2023, Boston has a $2 million club option for 2025. If Refsnyder wants to keep playing, Boston will likely exercise that option.

Refsnyder is 251 at-bats for Boston this season and has a .298/.384/.472 slash line.

Refsnyder is reportedly eager to work in the front office after his retirement.
