However, it’s hard to imagine how Gi-hun could defeat the game’s creators, even with his newfound wealth, without getting his hands dirty.

In Season 1, Gi-hun managed to avoid the guilt of taking a life by not killing anyone directly. It’s unlikely he’ll be that fortunate the second time around, which would add new layers to his emotional journey.

Additionally, Wi Ha-jun’s police officer Hwang Jun-ho provided a valuable perspective by exploring the 'back end' of the games. It would be great if Hwang Dong-hyuk finds a way to keep him alive and investigate the origins of the games or at least his brother’s involvement.

There’s also a lingering plot hole regarding the Front Man’s involvement. If his brother was a former Squid Game winner, how did no one in his family notice his sudden wealth? And why did Jun-ho find his brother’s disappearance mysterious now, when it wasn’t an issue a few years earlier?

The cast and crew will undoubtedly feel the pressure to deliver a second season that lives up to the first – so we can expect something even more elaborate.
