PEN Entertainment Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For Future Hollywood Casino Aurora

Following the groundbreaking ceremony for a new hotel that will be connected to the Hollywood Casino Columbus on Nov. 28, PEN Entertainment Inc. announced that it will hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Hollywood Casino Aurora on Nov. 29 at 2:45 p.m. Additionally, when completed, a new land casino, hotel, and entertainment property will be replaced to replace the nearby Riverboat Casino.

Future Hotel-Casino Placement:

The local destination, worth $360 million, is being built near Chicago's premium outlet, which attracts more than 8 million customers annually, and is strategically cited near Interstate 88 in Aurora. The premium property includes approximately 1,200 game jobs, retail sportsbooks, approximately 220 rooms, full-service spas, outdoor entertainment spaces, premium restaurants and bars, approximately 1,700 parking spaces, and an event center of approximately 12,000 square feet with conference rooms.

In addition, the company is expected to create 700 permanent jobs, nearly double the current company's Aurora team, for its new properties, in addition to 700 construction jobs. In addition, this latest hotel project consists of four new expansion projects, including new land-based casinos in Joliet, Illinois, and a hotel tower in Henderson, Nevada, as part of a previously unveiled plan.
