Digital Immigrant
someone who was born before the digital age. not necessarily technologically inept but require a longer adaptation period.
This is an example of a Digital Immigrant. Bob Dylan was known to the folk world of music, in going electric, he tried to enter the world of digital natives. And succeeded.
Moral/Social Literacy
Being morally conscious with everything you read, write and view. Realizing that it's a response or statement of public opinion.
Collaborative Media
the use of smartphones and tablets in the business world. Things like Skype. The news channels use tablets to get up to date information about worldly events.
Digital Native
a generation born into the new age of technology. And outsourcing the analog days.
Privacy
to be alone without interruption or interference. seclusion or retirement to ones life without disturbance.
Multimodal Society
a society that bases its communication on text, audio, video and internet surfing.

Academic Integrity
The code of conduct for students. No cheating, plagiarism and practice good character.
Academic integrity means honesty and responsibility in scholarship. Students and faculty alike must obey rules of honest scholarship, which means that all academic work should result from an individual's own efforts. Intellectual contributions from others must be consistently and responsibly acknowledged. Academic work completed in any other way is fraudulent.
Independent Learning
Learning on your own. Your own schedule. self discipline, with little assistance from instructors.
Wikis
A site where users can freely update information sometimes spreading disinformation. Internet users find it easy to find information, but it's not as reliable as you think because of different imput.
Disinformation
Not to be confused with misinformation. the spreading of false information.
