"Students allowed to use a computer to take school tests are not necessarily eligible for a computer accommodation on College Board exams because College Board exams can differ from classroom tests. The computer accommodation is appropriate for students who have a disability that impacts their written language expression. Examples include students with the following disabilities:

" Problets are problem solving software assistants for learning, reinforcement and assessment of programming concepts. They are designed to help students learn programming concepts through small-scale problem-solving, and as a supplement to large-scale programming traditionally used in introductory programming courses. At this site, you can find out more about the capabilities of the problets, their pedagogy, and about using them in your courses. "
" Problets are currently available for the topics listed below. For each problet, we have listed the types of problems generated by the problet, the specific concepts, called learning objectives that are targeted by the problet, and a link to the actual problet, categorized by programming language. Please note: "
Java Basics. The beginning of a more coherent tutorial called Java Basics. In addition to lessons, there is also commentary which explains why things are done the way they are.f
"Java Notes. These Java programming notes are written to fill in missing or weak topics in textbooks that I've taught from. Many pages are useful for reference, but not as an ordered tutorial. Some pages are still rough drafts, and I haven't been working on them for a long time.

"Prepare your students for their futures.
If every school offered computer science, it'd be easier to use the internet to supplement your textbook, plan a year's lessons, and craft engaging assignments.
But as you've probably noticed, most schools don't offer computer science classes. Most teachers don't put their AP CS material online. Instead, most teachers build, cobble, and sculpt their own materials – until now."
" iJava is an online interactive textbook for elementary Java instruction. It assumes no previous programming experience."
" Free Java book available for download or on-line use... regarded by many as the best java book for high school computer science because of its organization and unique approach:"
Code Hunt is an educational, browser-based coding game for everyone interested in coding.
This game will reinforce key concepts in the Java programming language. This would be a great review option for students at about the end of the first quarter. It has a modern interface and an engaging concept for high school students.

"Picturing Programs is a textbook for beginning computer programming, published in August 2010 by College Publications (not to be confused with College Publishing). The ISBN is 978-1-84890-015-8. We've tried very hard to keep the price down, so it lists at GBP 18.50, which as of this writing is around $29.30. Pre-publication drafts of it have already been used by dozens of high school and college teachers in several countries. "
" This is a course in Java programming for beginners. It covers the fundamentals of programming, roughly the same material that is covered in a beginning programming course in a university or in a high school AP Computer Science course. "
" Practice-It is a web application to help you practice solving Java programming problems online. Many of the problems come from the University of Washington's introductory Java courses, which are often taught by Stuart Reges, Marty Stepp, Hélène Martin, and Allison Obourn. "
