VERY current - obviously a well-maintained site! A note about a newly discovered element (synthesized) with reference to an April, 2010 paper! Very detailed - great info, and also lots of fun chemistry humor!
Some good instruction, not just facts about individual elements, but explanation of why the periodic table is arranged how it is. Also, fun, kid-friendly graphics and readable language.
WebQuest to create an ad for an element - variation on my adopt-an-element lesson. Idea: have students make a video ad!
This is a good resource for understanding the organization of the periodic table (although the site uses every horrible dated web trick in the book - from animated gifs to scrolling marquee text - awful colors, too, and frames! But the info is good :))
