What Causes Root Canal Cavities?

Many people have different theories on what causes root canal pain. Some say that it is because there is an inflammation in the soft tissue. Others believe it is because the nerve is dead, which is also part of the theory. However, all these theories are just theories. When a tooth becomes seriously infected or is badly decayed, there is no other way to explain the pain than what you might experience.

Patients with severe tooth decay often undergo a great deal of pain while chewing and biting food. Even brushing and flossing are sometimes too painful for them. The affected tooth may become very sensitive to cold and hot foods as well as any form of stress or pressure. When this happens, the surrounding tissues can easily become inflamed because of the tooth decay or infection. Bacteria can grow rapidly and colonize these tissues causing serious problems that often cause tooth sensitivity and even infection.

The process of getting a root canal begins by making a small incision in the gum. The surgeon then lifts the impacted tooth and closes it in the dental tool called a caudal pitfall. Next, the patient will be given local anesthesia which will numb the surrounding tissue. The surgeon then opens up the pulp chamber by removing the hardened white substance. The cavity is then filled with a sterile solution and sealed with an antiseptic.

Once the procedure is completed, the dentist will apply local anesthetic drops and will advise you to take pain medication. You should be able to go home that night but will most likely experience some level of discomfort the next day. After about 7 days, the dentist will recommend an appointment. During this appointment, the dentist will perform a final cleaning of the pulp chamber. A final examination will be done by the anesthesiologist to see if any additional infection has occurred.

The third type of what causes root canal problems is called pulpal death. Pulmonary death occurs when the pulp and the hard part of the tooth die. Once the pulp dies, the dentist may reevaluate the tooth by inserting a camera through the mouth and looking inside the mouth. This allows the dentist to look at the inside of the tooth and remove a sample for laboratory testing. If laboratory tests show that the tooth has died, the dentist will reevaluate the tooth and prescribe a treatment.

The fourth type of what causes root canal problems is called dental crowns. A dental crown is a temporary covering over the exposed roots of a tooth. Although people do not generally notice dental crowns, they eventually weaken due to constant chewing of food and tooth decay.

Finally, the last type of what causes root canal problems is infection. When an infection is present, the bacteria in the mouth can spread to the bones of the jaw and cause decay. Over time, this process spreads the bacteria throughout the body. The dental decay loosens the attachment of the bones to the gums, which causes tooth loss. At the same time, the nerve fibers of the tooth begin to die. Once this happens, the patient requires immediate dental treatment.

Root canal treatments are not always successful. Sometimes the treatment is unsuccessful because the affected teeth cannot be saved. This is when the dentist removes the tooth and saves the affected teeth. In addition to saving the tooth, the exposed roots are also saved by the use of dental pulp or a dental crown. Once the problem has been fixed, the dentist re-cures the tooth by inserting it and then replacing it with a new one.
